Saraburi Witthayakhom School’s old name was “Chai School”. The school was founded by Pra Boon, Director of Saladang Temple, on April 28, 1902 at Saladang Temple. The school is 97 years old. The school offered Pratom 1 to Mathayom 1 for boy student only.
In the year 1913 – 1919, Mr. Tongyu Gumpiranon was the director. The school moved from Saladang Temple to Sriburirattanaram Temple and changed its name to “Pakprew School” and “Saraburi School” in respectively. In the year 1913, the school opened Mathayom 2 and Mathayom 3 during the year 1914 – 1916.
In the year 1937, the school moved and constructed a new building. At this point, the school offered only Mathayom 1 to 3.
In the year 1953, the school expanded education level to Mathayom 6. Resulting in the need to expand the area. The school moved to the current location and constructed a new building with 32 rooms. It was finished on May 17, 1956. The school area was 19 Rais.
In the year 1972, the school constructed Science Building, Library, Conference Building, Work Shop Building and Teacher House. The school also combined with “Sahaiying School” and changed its name to “Saraburi Witthayakhom School” on March 24, 1972.
In the year 1975, the school constructed a new building with 24 rooms, 2 Tempory buildings, a Household building and maintainance football field.
In the year 1979, the school constructed a new building with 24 rooms and expanded school area from 23 Rais to 42 Rais.
In the year 1989, the school reconstruct the main road to be concrete.
During the year 1991 to 1996, the school supported student sport activity and there were many achievements. There was a new Building, Conference building and 2 parks.
At present, Saraburi Witthayakhom School has 70 rooms in 4 buildings, 5 Workshop buildings, 2 Conference buildings and 3 Temporary Buildings. There are 3,220 boys and girls students and 147 teachers.
